The New England Patriots still have some Christmas spirit in them this year.

Bill Belichick’s love and admiration for the Navy Midshipmen was fully activated on Thursday as the Patriots lended them one of their team planes. Navy finished its season ranked No. 23 and will play Kansas State in the Liberty Bowl on New Years Eve.

They flew to Memphis on Thursday and posted a picture of the team plane.

Belichick’s father was a scout for Navy for over 30 years and it was the first glimpse of football for the coaching legend. He has profound respect for the program and it was apparent on Thursday.
