Patriots announce two practice squad moves, following loss to Colts

The Patriots announced two practice squad moves

The New England Patriots announced the signing of linebacker Andrew Parker Jr. to the practice squad on Monday. The corresponding move was the team releasing linebacker Joe Giles-Harris.

Parker last played with the Jacksonville Jaguars after signing as a rookie free agent in April, and he was released at the end of August.

He had a successful college career. In 2023, he tallied 114 total tackles in 14 games, as well as two sacks, two passes defended and one forced fumble at Appalachian State.

Giles-Harris played in multiple games for the Patriots this year, mostly on special teams. He was first elevated to the active roster for the New York Jets game at the end of October. He was most recently activated for the Los Angeles Rams game on November 17, and he had two defensive tackles and one tackle on special teams.

The Patriots are coming off a 25-24 loss at the hands of the Indianapolis Colts. They are currently on a bye week, which means they’ll have plenty of time to move around roster pieces in preparation for the final four-game stretch of the season.
