The Kansas City Chief officially had their moment at the White House on Monday, June 5.
After speeches from President Joe Biden, Chiefs team president Mark Donovan and head coach Andy Reid, there was a brief pause for a photo opportunity. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce presented Joe Biden with a No. 46 “Biden” Chiefs jersey. It signifies that Biden is the 46th president of the United States of America — but it’s also a jersey number that was worn by Chiefs great Jim Kearney.
Check it out:
After Biden was presented with the jersey by the two Chiefs stars, Kelce briefly took the podium for a gag. He said, “I just want to say I’ve been waiting my entire life—” before Mahomes promptly cut him off and apologized to a laughing crowd.

The team would then pose for more photos with President Biden and the No. 46 jersey.
Mahomes also signed a football for President Biden after presenting him with his jersey.
