Patrick Mahomes’ Super Bowl-winning touchdown to Mecole Hardman is the stuff of dreams

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs did it again.

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs didn’t play a perfect Super Bowl. In fact, they missed a huge chance to win just before overtime when Mahomes missed Rashee Rice on a potential game-winning touchdown.

But, boy, did Mahomes make up for it in the end.

Mahomes hit Mecole Hardman for the game-winning touchdown in the waning moments of overtime.

It wasn’t the flashiest touchdown in the world. It wasn’t a back shoulder throw to the pylon or a fade to the back corner of the endzone. Nope. It was just a simple toss to the flat for a touchdown.

Textbook stuff from Mahomes, Andy Reid and the Chiefs.

If that feels familiar to you, it should. The Chiefs ran a similar action against the Eagles last season to win last year’s Super Bowl, too. NFL analyst Warren Sharp breaks it down here.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. The Chiefs did it again. What a run. What a Super Bowl.
