Patrick Mahomes likes comparisons, but he still considers Tom Brady the GOAT

Even after winning a third Super Bowl, Patrick Mahomes still believes Tom Brady is the GOAT

In case you haven’t heard, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes won the third Super Bowl of his career on Sunday night over the San Francisco 49ers.

Comparisons are already being made between Mahomes and former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, as Kansas City has now won their third Super Bowl in five years.

However, Mahomes is not buying into the comparisons just yet.

He already shut down the comparisons once before during Super Bowl media week. He appeared on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Tuesday, and even after winning a third Super Bowl, he was not ready to anoint himself the greatest quarterback of all time.

The quarterback knows he needs to get more work done over the course of his career to achieve that goal.

“I like it. [Brady is] the greatest of all time so I like being compared to him. But I still have so long I’m going to have to go in my career,” said Mahomes. “If you look at the longevity, the consistent greatness that he had every single year. All I can do is try to continue to be the best me every single day that I have and have no regrets.”

The debate on the greatest quarterback of all time will be one that rages on with football fans. But according to Mahomes, that mantle still belongs to Brady, at least for now.
