Patrick Mahomes bought a Ferrari on the same day he became a part-owner of the Royals

What a day!

Chiefs quarterback and Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes cashed in this offseason with a $503 million contract that will keep him in Kansas City through 2031.

So, it should come as no surprise that Mahomes is setting up some long-term roots in Kansas City and putting that money to use.

On Tuesday, the Kansas City Royals announced that Mahomes would be joining John Sherman’s ownership group as a part-owner. The terms of his stake in the team weren’t detailed, but it was obviously enough of an investment to get Mahomes a piece of a franchise that’s valued at $1 billion.

But the spending didn’t stop there: Mahomes got himself a new ride.

Shortly after the Royals’ announcement, ESPN’s Louis Riddick tweeted a photo of Mahomes’ brand new Ferrari 812 Superfast.

Poor parking job aside, that car looks amazing. According to Car and Driver, the Ferrari 812 Superfast starts at $338,000 and packs a V-12 engine with 788 horsepower.

So, yeah, that would qualify as “Superfast.” Mahomes is enjoying that contract extension life.
