Pat Bev reveals Daryl Morey told him Sixers weren’t going to trade him

Patrick Beverley reveals that Daryl Morey told him that the Philadelphia 76ers weren’t going to trade him.

The Philadelphia 76ers decided to pull the trigger on a deal at the trade deadline when they sent Patrick Beverley to the Milwaukee Bucks in a deal that brought them Cam Payne. It was a bit of a surprise when considering what Beverley brought, but Payne can play the game.

Payne shot 39.7% from deep for the Bucks in 14.9 minutes per game across 47 games with Milwaukee. The Sixers were able to get back a serviceable backup point guard and a quality second-round pick from Milwaukee as they position themselves for future moves.

Beverley revealed on “The Pat Bev Pod” that President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey told him that he wouldn’t get traded. Beverley asked Morey the question while the team was on their road trip in Denver.

Seeing how Beverley fits in with Doc Rivers’ Bucks will certainly be interesting. He is a guy who brings a ton of effort on a nightly basis, but he will also have to repair his relationship with Damian Lillard which has been damaged in the past.
