Wednesday is shaping up to be a good day for fans of Kentucky football and their recruiting. First, they got a commitment from a top 200 player in running back Marquise Davis. Now, they’re predicted to add edge rusher Javeon Campbell as well by on3 recruiting.
Campbell is ranked in the top 300 recruits for 2025, and rated four stars. He’s a 6’5″, 265 lb defensive end out of Frankfort, Kentucky. He’s the number two rated player in the state.
With athleticism that rivals anybody, Campbell has tons of upside. He just started playing high school football last season, and immediately made an impact. With further development, he could turn into a star.
If Kentucky does land Campbell, it adds to a recruiting class that is getting better and better. He is also being recruited by teams like Ohio State and the SEC’s Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide.
He hasn’t officially committed to Kentucky yet, so things can change. However, getting a prediction for another very good player is something Big Blue Nation should be excited about.
