Parris Campbell pens goodbye to Colts: ‘It’s always love Indy’

Parris Campbell sends his official goodbye to the Colts.

Former Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Parris Campbell will be joining the New York Giants roster, but he looks back on the last four years with gratitude.

Becoming a custom around the league, players often pen thank-you letters to the organizations if they’ve been impacted in a positive way. Campbell, joined the latest of athletes to do so, exuding immense gratitude for the team that selected him in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft.

Though his career has been plagued by injuries, Campbell will get the chance to build on his career-high 2022 campaign, which was the first time since being drafted that he was able to play in all 17 games.

The results including career-high marks in receptions (63), receiving yards (623), and touchdowns (three), all while dealing with a ridiculous carousel at the quarterback position.

The Colts now need to find a new slot receiver to work behind Michael Pittman Jr. and Alec Pierce, which they can do so either through free agency or the 2023 NFL draft.

Regardless, Campbell’s time with the Colts has come to an end as he embarks on a prove-it deal with the Giants.
