Following the hiring of Jeff Saturday as the interim head coach, Parks Frazier will get a slight promotion to serve as the offensive play-caller for the Indianapolis Colts.
Currently holding the role of pass game specialist and assistant quarterbacks coach, Frazier will now be the one running the offense. His close ties to Frank Reich should make the transition a bit easier on the offensive players.
Another surprise in Indianapolis: #Colts interim coach Jeff Saturday is expected to have 30-year-old pass game specialist/assistant quarterbacks coach Parks Frazier serve as the offensive play-caller starting Sunday against the #Raiders, sources tell me and @RapSheet. pic.twitter.com/KN5reJhayE

Upon the introductory press conference Monday night, Saturday told the media he hadn’t interviewed every candidate to call plays. while quarterbacks coach Scott Milanovich has a history calling plays, it appears they are giving Frazier a shot.
Frazier has been with the Colts since Reich arrived back in 2018.
There are likely going to be plenty of changes over the next eight games and Frazier being the play-caller chiefly among them.
