As they welcome their veterans into Wofford College for training camp tomorrow, the Carolina Panthers will also be having themselves a visitor.

According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, defensive tackle Khalil Davis has a workout scheduled with the team for Tuesday. The 26-year-old is heading over following his visit with the New England Patriots, another workout that went down on Sunday.

Davis was attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 2015 to 2019. There, he amassed 105 total tackles (24.0 for a loss) and 13.0 sacks over 36 games.

The 6-foot-1, 308-pounder was then selected in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Davis appeared in just two games during the organization’s Super Bowl-winning run that season, recording 37 snaps on defense and four on special teams between the Week 12 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and the Week 17 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

His most recent NFL action came under head coach Frank Reich in Indianapolis. He hit the field for six snaps during the Colts’ Week 6 matchup with the Houston Texans.

Davis has since picked up practice-squad stops with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Buccaneers and Los Angeles Rams.
