Panthers Week 6 injury report: Miles Sanders ruled out vs. Dolphins

The Panthers have ruled out RB Miles Sanders (shoulder) and S Vonn Bell (quadriceps) for their Week 6 matchup against the Dolphins.

The Carolina Panthers got some good news and some bad news out of Friday’s practice.

We’ll start with the good in outside linebacker Brian Burns and defensive tackle Derrick Brown, who both returned for this morning’s session following their absences from Thursday. The team’s star defenders have been listed as questionable for the Week 6 contest against the Miami Dolphins.

Now for the bad, beginning with running back Miles Sanders. Sanders, who did not participate in practice all week due to a shoulder injury, has been ruled out. Head coach Frank Reich told reporters that he expects Chuba Hubbard to get the bulk of the carries out of the backfield.

Additionally, safety Vonn Bell, who popped up on yesterday’s listing with a quadriceps injury, did not participate today and has been ruled out as well. The Panthers are already without their other starting safety in Xavier Woods, who has missed the last two games with a hamstring issue.
