Panthers sign S Myles Dorn to reserve/future deal

On Wednesday, the Panthers signed Charlotte native and UNC Tar Heel Myles Dorn to a reserve/future deal.

Welcome home, Myles Dorn.

On Wednesday, the Carolina Panthers signed the 24-year-old safety to a reserve/future deal. He is now the 11th player signed by the team, and the ninth to a reserve/future deal, this offseason.

Dorn was born in Charlotte, N.C. on June 25, 1998. He’d attend Julius L. Chambers High School, formerly known as Vance High School, and move on to play at the University of North Carolina from 2016 to 2019.

As a Tar Heel, Dorn totaled 240 combined tackles (10.5 for a loss), six interceptions, 13 passes defensed, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble over 43 games. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound defensive back entered the 2020 NFL draft, where he would not be selected.

The Minnesota Vikings then signed Dorn as an undrafted free agent on April 28, 2020. He played in 14 games for Minnesota between 2021 and 2022, having recorded five tackles.

Dorn appeared exclusively on special teams this past season, as he chalked 68 snaps over five outings.
