The Carolina Panthers have requested permission from the Buffalo Bills to interview a member of their front office for their vacant assistant general manager position. That potential candidate is Dan Morgan.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Panthers have requested permission to talk to the Bills’ director of player personnel. Morgan has held that position in Buffalo since 2018.
Earlier that same day, MMQB’s Albert Breer called Morgan a “name to watch” in regard to the vacant position.
While Morgan might be viewed as one of those classic Bills-Panthers connections going back and forth which usually have to do with Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott and general manager Brandon Beane, Morgan actually goes a bit deeper than that with the Panthers. Carolina selection him No. 11 overall in the 2001 NFL draft.
Prior to joining the Bills, Morgan was the Seahawks’ director of pro scouting.
