The Carolina Panthers will seemingly have to finish the 2024 campaign without another one of their inside linebackers.
According to Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer, Claudin Cherelus sustained a season-ending toe injury in this past Sunday’s 30-14 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The second-year defender, per Kaye, is expected to undergo surgery.

Cherelus started in Week 15 in place of rookie Trevin Wallace, who missed the outing due to a shoulder injury. He recorded career-highs in defensive snaps (53) and combined tackles (nine) in the defeat.
The Panthers have already been without fellow inside linebacker and team captain Shaq Thompson, who tore his Achilles tendon back in Week 4.
