The reconstruction of the Carolina Panthers’ front office is real.
As first reported by ESPN’s David Newton on Tuesday afternoon, the organization is parting ways with vice president of football administration Samir Suleiman. The move comes less than 24 hours after the team announced Dan Morgan as their new president of football operations and general manager.
Suleiman has been a part of the braintrust for the past four seasons. Prior to the promotion into his his final role with the Panthers, he served as the director of player negotiations and salary cap manager for three years.
The former James Madison wide receiver was the lead negotiator for Carolina—with a focus in strategy, player acquisition and league compliance. He was also one of 11 known candidates for the team’s general manager opening this offseason.
The Panthers, especially with Suleiman on the outs, are expected to hire an assistant general manger with a salary cap and analytics background to pair with Morgan.
