Panthers lose star RB Christian McCaffrey for rest of season

Christan McCaffrey back on IR and out for the rest of the season

Things have gone backward for the Carolina Panthers after a 3-0 start. They got worse on Monday with news star running back Christian McCaffrey is done for the season.

McCaffrey suffered an ankle injury in the first half of Sunday’s loss to the Miami Dolphins. He appeared in one play in the second half.

He was seen leaving Hard Rock Stadium in a walking boot.

An MRI Monday morning revealed an injury severe enough to place him on Injured Reserve. Because of the time it would take to recover, and because it will be his second time on IR this season, McCaffrey will miss out on the Panthers’ final five regular-season games.

That collective groan is fantasy football players who made him a high draft pick in 2021 and got 99 rushes for 442 yards and a touchdown and 37 receptions for 343 yards and a touchdown in seven games.
