After another unexplained delay, the Carolina Panthers are back at practice today. Here are a few injury updates from the media there.
First, the good news. Backup center Tyler Larsen returned to practice after missing the last week due to a calf injury. Also, defensive end Marquis Haynes is back to wearing a normal-colored jersey, which means he has cleared the concussion protocol.
Now, the bad. Several new players did not participate in the portion of practice that was open to the media. That list of players includes tight end Ian Thomas, guard Chris Reed, starting center Matt Paradis and defensive tackle Zach Kerr. Wide receiver/kick returner Tommylee Lewis was also out again.
Open portion of practice is over. Did not see Matt Paradis, Ian Thomas, Zack Kerr, Tommylee Lewis, Chris Reed.

There’s no word on what’s wrong with Thomas or any of the other new names here.
Coach Matt Rhule will presumably enlighten reporters on the delay as well as offer some injury info after practice is over.
