It was a little odd that the team passed on taking any linebackers this year given the the all-defense draft class. However, this large group of them should help fill out the depth chart. A couple of them could make the roster.

The same applies for the offensive line – another area of need that went unaddressed during the draft. Horton in particular has a decent chance to make the roster if he can impress at left guard.

The most interesting skill player in this group might be Bayless (6-foot-3, 207 pounds), who put up outstanding numbers last season, totaling 93 catches, 1,653 yards and 17 touchdowns. Carolina is loaded at wide receiver though, so it won’t be easy for him to make the final 53.
