Packers WR Romeo Doubs questionable to return vs. Lions with ankle injury

Packers WR Romeo Doubs was carted back to the locker room and is now questionable to return with an ankle injury.

Green Bay Packers rookie receiver Romeo Doubs was carted back to the locker room after suffering an ankle injury on the offense’s first play from scrimmage on Sunday at Ford Field.

Doubs was injured after making an 18-yard catch off a play-action pass from Aaron Rodgers in the first quarter. He limped off the field, needed assistance getting to the blue medical tent and then was moved back to the locker room.

The Packers say Doubs is questionable to return.

Through eight weeks, Doubs has 30 catches for 296 yards and three touchdowns. He caught four passes for 62 yards and an incredible touchdown last week in Buffalo.

The Packers can’t catch a break at receiver, at least on the injury front. Randall Cobb is on injured reserve, Allen Lazard is playing through a shoulder injury, Christian Watson is coming off a concussion and Sammy Watkins missed four games with a hamstring injury.
