Packers won’t be using St. Norbert College for training camp

For the first time in 62 years, the Packers won’t be using St. Norbert College for training camp.

For the first time in 62 years, the Green Bay Packers won’t be using St. Norbert College as the team’s hub for training camp.

The team announced Wednesday that due to the coronavirus pandemic and the NFL’s protocols for battling the spread of the virus, the Packers will be using Lambeau Field as the team’s central location for training camp instead of St. Norbert College this summer.

The Packers have used the dorms and dining facilities at the local college for training camp every year since 1958, marking the longest uninterrupted training camp site in the NFL. The team said they are still finalizing alternate housing for the players during camp.

Lambeau Field will now host all team activities during camp, with practices held across the street at team’s practice complex.

The Packers are expected to report for training camp on July 28.
