Uniform numbers have arrived for running back Josh Jacobs and safety Xavier McKinney, the Green Bay Packers’ two big free agent signings.
Both will continue wearing numbers worn with their previous teams.
Jacobs got the No. 8 from backup quarterback Sean Clifford, who is switching to No. 6. Jacobs wore No. 8 in high school, in college at Alabama and last season with the Las Vegas Raiders.
McKinney got the No. 29 from cornerback Zyon Gilbert, who is switching to No. 30. McKinney’s college number was No. 15, but that number is retired in Green Bay for Bart Starr. He wore No. 29 for four seasons with the New York Giants.

Jacobs, when asked about his number on Friday, said he’d be willing to pay Clifford for the No. 8. A fifth-round pick out of Penn State in 2023, Clifford — who wore No. 14 in high school and college — had the No. 8 for just one season.
