Packers take early Thanksgiving lead over Lions on big plays from Christian Watson, Jayden Reed

Christian Watson and Jayden Reed helped give the Packers a 7-0 lead over the Lions early on Thanksgiving.

The Green Bay Packers took a 7-0 lead over the Detroit Lions on the first drive of Thanksgiving Day thanks to impressive plays from young receivers Christian Watson and Jayden Reed.

Jordan Love hit Watson deep for 53 yards on the opening play, and Reed finished off the scoring drive with a 10-yard touchdown catch on a pinpoint throw from Love.

The Packers, who won the opening toss and took the ball, needed only five plays and 2:44 of game time to get on the board.

Love was 3-for-3 for 73 yards and a touchdown pass on the opening drive. His passer rating was a perfect 158.3.
