The first career touchdown for Green Bay Packers rookie receiver Jayden Reed arrived Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
Reed, moving from left to right pre-snap, caught a pop pass from quarterback Jordan Love and raced into the end zone behind blocks from Zach Tom, Luke Musgrave, Samori Toure and Patrick Taylor. The 9-yard touchdown gave the Packers a 7-3 lead over the Falcons in the second quarter of Week 2.
The Packers made Reed a second-round pick out of Michigan State in the 2023 draft. The 50th overall pick caught two passes for 48 yards, rushed once for -2 yards and returned three punts for 54 yards (long 35) during his NFL debut in Chicago last Sunday.
Reed scored 30 total touchdowns during his collegiate career. Now, he’s on the board as a professional.
