Packers rookie Jordan Love is rated much lower in ‘Madden 21’ than he expected

Packers QB Jordan Love is rated a 71 overall in “Madden 21,” making him the third highest-rated rookie QB in the upcoming game.

Green Bay Packers rookie quarterback Jordan Love will have to earn the respect of the “Madden” rating adjusters.

In a video with Pro Football Hall of Famer Steve Young, Love guessed his overall rating in the upcoming game “Madden 21” would be an 81, but Young revealed it to be only a 71.

“Dang,” Love said in response.

Love is the third-highest rated rookie quarterback, trailing Joe Burrow (78) and Tua Tagovailoa (73). Love does have a higher overall rating than Justin Herbert, the sixth overall pick who is only a 70 overall.

Love has 81 speed and 86 acceleration, highlighting his athleticism, and 90 throwing power, 89 touch, 81 deep ball accuracy and 81 throwing on the run, but only 65 awareness.

The Packers are hoping he has high developmental potential behind Aaron Rodgers and can become the team’s next star quarterback once the team decides to make the transition to Love, the 26th overall pick in the 2020 draft.

The Packers recently signed Love to a fully guaranteed rookie deal that includes a fifth-year team option.
