Don’t expect OBJ to be a savior in Green Bay.

Free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. wants to play for a contender, making it much “less likely” that the two-time All-Pro will sign with the Packers, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Matt LaFleur’s team is 3-6 and in the midst of a five-game losing streak. While the Packers desperately need help at wide receiver, Beckham wants a chance to compete for another title in 2022 and to sign a lucrative, multi-year deal.

His current list of teams includes the Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs, New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers, per Schefter.

The Packers will attempt to get back in the win column when they face the Cowboys on Sunday at Lambeau Field.

Beckham Jr. recently told Complex Sports that the Packers have been one of the teams calling as he nears a return from last year’s knee injury.

After signing with the Rams last year and providing a spark during the team’s playoff run, Beckham Jr. tore his ACL during the Super Bowl and has missed all of the 2022 season.

Beckham Jr., who will be cleared to play soon, is expected to make a decision on his next team by the end of November.

The Packers missed out on a receiver at the trade deadline and now aren’t in a position to get Beckham Jr. because the season is crumbling entering Week 10.
