Packers lose LT Elgton Jenkins to knee injury

Another week, another potentially significant injury to one of the Packers’ most important players.

Another week, another potentially significant injury to an important player for the Green Bay Packers. Starting left tackle Elgton Jenkins left Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Viking after suffering a knee injury in the third quarter.

Jenkins was injured while trying to block Vikings safety Harrison Smith on a blitz. He went down to the ground and immediately grabbed for his left knee.

The Packers carted Jenkins back to the locker room after evaluating the injury in the sideline medical tent.

The offense replaced Jenkins at left tackle with Yosh Nijman, who started two games at the position earlier in the season.

Jenkins was only playing left tackle because of David Bakhtiari’s ongoing recovery from an ACL repair.

Coach Matt LaFleur may provide an update on Jenkins’ condition following the game on Sunday.
