The Vikings were driving in the fourth quarter when Kirk Cousins threw a dangerous pass.
Packers S Darnell Savage Jr. cut off the throw, but he couldn’t retain possession as he hit the ground. The officials, after originally ruling the play an interception, overturned the call on the field.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur wants clarification on that call from the league office.
“There’s a lot of similarities there, so, it’s just something we have to get clarification on,” LaFleur said in regards to Savage’s play, via our friends at Packers Wire. “Does it matter the area of the field? If you’re in the end zone, does it count? If you’re in the field of play, does it not count?”
Additionally, the Green Bay head coach wants the league to clarify center Lucas Patrick’s false start penalty, in which the offensive lineman rears his head before he snaps the ball. LaFleur said about the Patrick false start:
“It was news to me that that was illegal. I need to get clarification on what we’re doing wrong, and if we are doing something wrong, then we need to coach it differently and we have to get it corrected,” LaFleur said.
KFAN’s Paul Allen, who is the official voice of the Vikings, described a strange sequence with the Green Bay head coach after the game.
Allen said LaFleur came up to him after the game and told him: “You better not talk into that microphone and give your team any credit.”

To recap, LaFleur was not thrilled with the Vikings beating his team in Week 11. Fair or not, the Vikings moved to 5-5 with the victory. Green Bay fell to 8-3. Minnesota heads on the road next week to play San Francisco in Week 12.
