Packers announce signing of sixth-round pick Simon Stepaniak

The Packers signed their third of the team’s nine draft picks on Monday, agreeing to a deal with OL Simon Stepaniak.

The Packers announced the signing of sixth-round pick Simon Stepaniak on Monday. Stepaniak, a guard from Indiana, joins seventh-round picks Jonathan Garvin and Vernon Scott as the three draft picks signed so far.

The Packers selected Stepaniak, who started 31 games for Indiana, with the 209th overall pick in the 2020 draft.

Over the Cap estimates Stepaniak’s four-year contract to be worth $3.45 million, with a signing bonus of just over $150,000 and a cap hit in 2020 of just under $650,000.

The Packers still need to sign quarterback Jordan Love, running back A.J. Dillon, tight end Josiah Deguara, linebacker Kamal Martin and offensive linemen Jon Runyan and Jake Hanson.
