Packers add OLB Rashan Gary (toe) to injury report

Aaron Rodgers returned to practice as a full participant, while Rashan Gary was added to the injury report on Thursday.

The Green Bay Packers added one of their defensive stars to the injury report on Thursday, but the team’s MVP quarterback did return to practice in a full capacity.

Outside linebacker Rashan Gary was limited on Thursday with a new toe injury, while quarterback Aaron Rodgers returned to practice as a full participant.

The only other change to the injury report from Wednesday was a scheduled veteran’s rest day for tight end Marcedes Lewis.

It’s unclear the severity of Gary’s injury. Rodgers injured the thumb on his right hand during the final play of last Sunday’s loss to the New York Giants and missed Wednesday’s practice for rehab, but neither he nor coach Matt LaFleur believes he’s in danger of missing Sunday’s game against the New York Jets.

For the second straight day, linebacker Tipa Galeai and receiver Christian Watson missed practice with hamstring injuries, putting into doubt their availability for Sunday.

Offensive tackles David Bakhtiari and Elgton Jenkins practiced for the second straight day.

Rookie Devonte Wyatt remains limited with a quad injury.

The Packers will issue a final injury report with playing designations on Friday.
