The Ottawa Senators (36-41-4) visit the Boston Bruins (47-19-15) to wrap up their regular seasons at TD Garden Tuesday. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (ESPN+). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Senators vs. Bruins odds, and make our expert NHL picks and predictions.

Season series: Bruins lead 2-0

The Senators were routed 4-0 by the New York Rangers Monday at Madison Square Garden, cashing the Under for the 4th time in the past 5 games. The total has gone low at a 7-2-1 pace in the past 10 outings, too.

The Bruins need a win in regulation, overtime or a shootout to secure the Atlantic Division title, as the 1st tiebreaker is regulation wins, should Boston tie with the Florida Panthers in points. The Panthers host the Toronto Maple Leafs Tuesday night in Sunrise.

Boston is coming off a 2-0 loss in Washington Monday night as the Under (5.5) cashed. The total has gone low in 7 of the past 8 outings, while the B’s have dropped 2 of the past 3.

Boston has won 4 in a row in this series, including both meetings by a combined 9-4 score. That includes a 6-2 win at TD Garden March 19 in the only meeting in Boston this season.

Senators at Bruins projected goalies

Anton Forsberg (14-12-0, 3.30 GAA, .886 SV%, 2 SO) vs. Linus Ullmark (22-9-7, 2.59 GAA, .916 SV%, 2 SO)

Forsberg picked up a win last time out in Tampa against the Lightning, allowing just 2 goals on 26 shots in a 3-2 SOW Thursday. He has allowed 7 goals on 49 shots in 2 starts and 3 appearances in April. Forsberg hasn’t faced the Bruins this season.

Ullmark allowed 4 goals on 32 shots in a 6-4 win in Pittsburgh against the Penguins, but he has won all 3 of his starting assignments in April, going 3-0-0 with a 1.98 GAA and .935 SV% in 3 starts. He allowed 2 goals on 31 shots in a 6-2 win at home March 19 against the Sens in his only appearance against them this season.

Senators at Bruins picks and predictions

Prediction

Bruins 4, Senators 2

Moneyline

The Bruins (-225) have dominated this season of late, and they’re playing for a division title. Boston will have the pedal to the metal looking to get the job done, especially in front of its rabid fans. The Senators (+180) are in a tough spot, facing a team in their barn looking to secure a division title. Ottawa didn’t offer much resistance at MSG Monday, and it isn’t likely to be much of a bother to Boston, either.

PASS.

Puck line/Against the spread

The BRUINS -1.5 (+120) are a decent play at plus-money on the puck line, although don’t be surprised if it comes down to the end, perhaps needing an empty-net goal to get over the hump.

In 3 of the past 4 victories for the B’s, they have won by 2 or more goals. So, if you like Boston to get the job done, you should like it on the puck line, especially at home against a team well out of the playoffs.

Over/Under

Total 6 (O: -105 | U: -115) is not worth playing, as the goal total is expected to come down right on the number.

The lean would be to the Under, since we’ve seen the total go low in 7 of the past 8 games, and Boston and Ottawa were each shut out in their road games Monday night.

However, the best play is to PASS.
