The 96th Academy Awards announced the nominees for this year’s ceremony, with movies like Barbie, Oppenheimer and Killers of the Flower Moon garnering a lot of attention as expected. Zazie Beetz and Jack Quaid announced the Oscar nominees on Tuesday morning via livestream.
Emma Stone (Poor Things) and Robert Downey Jr. (Oppenheimer) will likely look to add to their 2024 award collections, and the battle for Best Director and Best Picture will be tight.
“I’m Just Ken” and “What Was I Made For” from Barbie are both expected to get nominations and will likely be the favorites in the Best Original Song category.
