Orioles announcers remarkably manifested Jordan Westburg’s first career home run on the broadcast

“It’s just a matter of time.”

It wasn’t that long ago that we saw one of the worst announcer jinxes of all time, but the Baltimore Orioles broadcast just used that energy for good.

In the early innings of the Baltimore Orioles’ Monday night matchup against the Philadelphia Phillies, Jordan Westburg came up to bat in just his 20th career MLB game. Westburg had been playing well in his near two-dozen MLB games, but he had yet to hit a home run in the big leagues.

That all changed on Monday … after the Orioles broadcast spoke it into existence. On the 1-0 pitch, the Orioles broadcast mentioned how Westburg didn’t have a home run yet in his career. And mere seconds later, Westburg delivered in a big way to put the Orioles up 1-0.

Did the Orioles broadcast know something we didn’t there or what? Either way, what a great moment for Westburg.
