Oregon’s 5-star WR Jurrion Dickey among biggest prep stars in first week of high school football

Oregon’s 5-star WR Jurrion Dickey was among the top performers in his first game of the year last weekend.

The Oregon Ducks know that they have a future star on their hands.

After parsing the tape and doing all of the research on 5-star wide receiver Jurrion Dickey following his commitment in the spring, it’s not a secret that one of the best players in the 2023 class is coming to Eugene next year to be a part of what Dan Lanning is building.

What has been fun to watch, though, is just how much Dickey has blossomed in the past couple of months as his recruitment has become more high-profile.

This past week, Dickey saw his first high school action of the season, and it didn’t disappoint. With six catches for 169 yards and three touchdowns, plus a 50-yard rushing TD, Dickey was named one of the top performers in the nation last week.

“Dickey flashed the complete skill set that makes him the No. 15 overall prospect and No. 2 wide receiver in the 2023 cycle for On3,” wrote Charles Power. “He has a rare combination of size, play speed, physicality and technical polish.”

Oregon’s wide receiver room is currently stacked with talented players, but the prospect of bringing in one of the best players in the nation is tantalizing to think about.

There is a lot of time left in the high school football season, so get used to seeing more highlights and updates from Dickey. He’s among the most electric players in the nation.
