The top eight teams in the country managed to avoid upsets this past weekend and the USA TODAY Coaches poll reflects that.
Oregon is still No. 8 in the country, but USC moved up two spots and is on the Ducks’ heels at No. 9. The Trojans were given quite the scare in the desert, but held off Arizona 45-37.
UCLA moved up four big spots to No. 11 after its big 38-13 win over Stanford and Utah comes in at No. 12 with its 21-17 win over Washington State in the Palouse. But the status of starting quarterback Cam Rising is in question after he missed the Cougar game with some kind of knee injury.
