Oregon stays alive in NCAA regional with 18-6 blowout over Southeast Missouri State

The Ducks broke the Oregon school record and Pac-12 record for hits in a game with 26 in a blowout win over Southeast Missouri State, advancing to Sunday’s play.

The Oregon Ducks live to see another day at the very least.

After a disappointing loss to the Michigan Wolverines in the opening round of the NCAA baseball regionals on Friday night, the Ducks turned right around and were faced with an elimination game against Southeast Missouri State on Saturday morning.

The stakes didn’t seem to hurt Oregon, who broke both the school and Pac-12 record for hits in a single game with a total of 26. Ultimately, they won the game 18-6, advancing to Sunday’s play.

Every Duck starter collected at least one hit with seven recording multiple hits led by a career-high five hits from Brennan Milone, and a career-high four hits for Josiah Cromwick.

Going forward, the Ducks will play the loser of the Michigan vs. Louisville game on Sunday with a chance to stay alive and reach the regional final.
