Oregon opens season as one of five ranked Pac-12 teams in USA TODAY Coaches Poll

Oregon opens the season as the No. 15 team in the nation, according to the first USA TODAY/Coaches poll of the2023 season.

With all of the big off-the-field news in the past week, we tend to forget there is an actual football season that is just three weeks away from beginning.

In the first preseason USA TODAY/Coaches poll in the 2023 season, the Oregon Ducks will start as the No. 15 team in the nation.

The usual gambit of football powerhouses are on top with Georgia, the two-time defending national champion as the No. 1 team in the country.

It’s ironic this is the last season of the Pac-12 because the conference boasts some of the better teams the conference as seen since the expansion. A total of five Pac-12 are ranked with USC leading the way at No. 6.
