Oregon injury report for Rose Bowl against Ohio State

Oregon Injurt Report: The Ducks are as healthy as they have been all season leading up to the Rose Bowl against the Buckeyes.

One of the many benefits of having a few weeks off from playing a football game is you get healthier. Fortunately for the Oregon Ducks football team, they are as healthy leading into the Rose Bowl as they have been all season.

The big story is the possible return of cornerback Jahlil Florence, who has missed much of the season with a leg injury. Whether he plays or how much he plays remains to be seen, but to have him on the field is a huge bonus.

Florence has 35 tackles and two interceptions in his two years with the Ducks. Because of injury, he’ll redshirt this season and retain his junior year. The postseason games don’t count toward his eligibility. Oregon might need Florence against Ohio State with the Buckeyes’ dangerous passing attack and elite receivers. One more body on that depth chart couldn’t hurt.

Defensive end Jordan Burch, who didn’t play in that first game, is also expected back in full form. Oregon wasn’t able to sack quarterback Will Howard, but having Burch in the lineup could change that in a big way.
