The Oregon Ducks are starting to see some changes to the roster now that the end of the season has come, starting with one of their most recent additions entering the transfer portal and choosing to leave the program.
According to The Oregonian’s James Crepea, guard Tyrone Williams will enter the portal after just one season in Eugene. Williams came to Oregon from the JUCO ranks a year ago, but he averaged just 2.5 points and 2.0 rebounds in 23 games for the Ducks this season.
Williams also released a statement to The Athletic about the decision.
Williams had season-highs with 12 points and 11 rebounds in the first round of the National Invitation Tournament against UC Irvine.
Coming to Oregon, Williams was the No. 3 JUCO prospect in the nation according to the 247Sports Composite, leading all JUCO scorers in the two seasons before transferring to Division 1.
