Opening high school esports 2023 rankings: Top ‘League of Legends’ teams in each state/region

The top teams in each state/region as the Fall 2023 “League of Legends” season begins.

The high school esports schedule has kicked off for the 2023 Fall season, with the competitive gaming on the PlayVS platform—officially recognized by the NFHS Network and state associations— highlighting teams and solos across the country.

And with that comes Year 2 of the USA TODAY High School Sports and PlayVS rankings, which takes a look at the best of the best in “Madden NFL 24,” “NBA 2K24,” “Rocket League,” “League of Legends,” and “Hearthstone.”

After three weeks of play, here are the top “League of Legends” regular-season teams in each state/region.
