The end to the Buffalo Bills versus Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday afternoon in Week 12 was a heartbreaker. Going toe-to-toe with the best team in the NFL this year and coming out with a loss is tough, as the game concluded in a 37-34 defeat in overtime.
The Bills coaching staff will have lots to think about during the bye week as they focus on ways to avoid losing close games as they have done throughout the season.
However, we are ready to look back one more time, and at one player in particular who loves playing against the Philadelphia Eagles: Stefon Diggs.
The receiver used to play with the Minnesota Vikings, who are in the NFC with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Bills (6-6) play in the AFC, and both conference winners play each other during the Super Bowl. As a result, Diggs has some experience playing against the Eagles when he was at the Vikings.
The last time Diggs played the Eagles was in 2019, when he scored three touchdowns in that game. During that season, both teams ended up making the NFC playoffs before losing in the divisional and wild card round, respectively.
Diggs moved to Buffalo after the 2019 season ended, and has continued to flourish. The touchdown against the Eagles was his eighth for the season, and he is close to breaking the 1,000 yard milestone this season. And his eighth touchdown of the year was really difficult given the defender traffic and the rain.
As the Bills organization uses the bye week to reorganize, Bills fans can enjoy Diggs’ perfect touchdown one more time:
