Notre Dame’s 2023 recruiting class is nearly complete but a few holes remain while a few huge names remain uncommitted. One such player is edge defender [autotag]Samuel M’Pemba[/autotag], a five-star prospect from high school powerhouse IMG Academy in Florida.
M’Pemba checks in as the 23rd overall player according to the On3 consensus rankings and will be a major boost to whichever program he ultimately chooses. According to the experts as well as On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), things do not look good for [autotag]Marcus Freeman[/autotag] and Notre Dame here.
On3’s director of recruiting Chad Simmons has a prediction on M’Pemba out on Thursday that says with 60% confidence the star defender will ultimately choose Georgia. Furthermore, the RPM gives Georgia a 93.6% chance of landing M’Pemba’s commitment.
It’s not official yet and the good news for Notre Dame is that M’Pemba is still scheduled to be on campus for an official visit during Clemson weekend, but the Irish appear to have quite the road ahead if they’re ultimately going to pull the upset for his services.
