On this day: Jimmy Rodgers fired; Kemba Walker, Keyon Dooling born

On this day, former Boston Celtics head coach Jimmy Rodgers was fired, and Celtics guards Kemba Walker and Keyon dooling were born.

It is also the birthday of Kemba Walker, who was born today in the Bronx, New York in 1990.

The four-time All-Star would play for the University of Connecticut at the NCAA level, and was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets in 2011, for whom he played continuously until this summer, when he joined the Celtics in free agency.

In his sole season with the team so far, Walker has been elected to the 2020 NBA All-Star game and averaged 21.2 points, 4.1 boards and 4.9 assist per game.
