On this day: Henderson stole the ball; Russell, Bonham, Robinson born

On this day, point guard Gerald Henderson stole the ball to secure a critical Game 2 win vs. the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1984 NBA Finals.

Ex-Celtic reserve point guard Nate Robinson was also born today in Seattle, Washington in 1984.

Robinson would join the team after being traded to it by the New York Knicks in 2010, coming along with Marcus Landry in exchange for J.R. Giddens, Eddie House, Henry Walker and draft assets.

The Washingtonian would play for Boston for parts of two seasons, averaging 6.9 points, 1.6 boards and 1.9 assists.

He would be traded with Kendrick Perkins to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Jeff Green, Nenad Krstić, cash and draft considerations.
