On this day: Henderson stole the ball; Russell, Bonham, Robinson born

On this day, point guard Gerald Henderson stole the ball to secure a critical Game 2 win vs. the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1984 NBA Finals.

It is also the birthday of former Celtics small forward Ron Bonham, who played for the Celtics for two seasons, winning two titles with the team in 1965 and 1966 in both of them.

Selected 16th overall in the 1964 NBA Draft out of Cincinnati, the Indiana native would average 6.3 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.4 assists with the team before being drafted by the Chicago Bulls in the 1966 Expansion Draft.
