On this day: Bob Cousy’s last game as a Celtic; Frank Ramsey drafted

On this day, Boston point guard legend Bob Cousy played his last game for the Celtics, and Hall of Fame wing Frank Ramsey was drafted.

The second was a regular season win, a 78-66 victory over the Heat that saw both teams sit their star players. Sasha Pavlovic led all Celtics with 16 points, and Marquis Daniels added 13 points and 5 rebounds.

“Well, someone had to win the game and we did, which was really nice,” Boston head coach Doc Rivers said via the A.P. “You know, these games are still important, probably for both teams.”
