On the Boston Celtics re-signing Drew Peterson to a two way deal

The Boston Celtics offseason checklist just got a little closer to being completed, with the team electing to bring back small forward Drew Peterson on a two way deal to fill one of their three two way slots for the coming 2024-25 NBA season.

Peterson was always likely to return in such a role after Boston made him a restricted free agent earlier this offseason, signaling to rival ball clubs that they would do what it takes to hang onto to the developing 3-and-d swingman. Now, they have an open regular roster spot and some two way slots to fill, though it is not out of the question that at least one of those slots may go unused to start the season. The hosts of the CLNS Media “How Bout Them Celtics!” podcast, Jack Simone and Sam LaFrance, broke down the move for Boston’s plans next season.

Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say about the two way deal.
