The Boston Celtics lost a close game to the Indiana Pacers at Gainsbridge Fieldhouse on Monday night, with a controversial pair of calls late in the contest casting a pall over the results. But much of the blame of the loss should be put on Boston’s roster, who took their foot off the gas on the defensive end of the court in the tilt’s third quarter. It may be that seeing Indiana star point guard Tyrese Halliburton go down injured in the second quarter made the Celtics think they had the game in the bag, but it doesn’t diminish the controversy from the eyes of many fans.
