The Boston Celtics are gearing up for the NBA season with several preseason games underway, but the ball club’s front office has its eyes on another prize ahead of their 2023-24 campaign — namely, locking up point guard Derrick White long-term with a contract extension.
The Colorado native has been in the news of late for everything from his new hairstyle (or lack thereof) as well as his role as a model for other good floor generals in the league. But the Celtics would like to add some years to his current deal while they are still able to do so in order to enter into a critical season with little in the way of doubt about the future to have to think about as well.
