Ole Miss QB Matt Corral leaves Sugar Bowl with ankle injury

Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter of Saturday night’s Sugar Bowl matchup against Baylor

One of the top passers in the 2022 NFL draft class just left his bowl game due to injury.

Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter of the Sugar Bowl on Saturday night against Baylor, and was taken by cart from the sideline to the locker room.

Widely regarded as a potential first-round pick and perhaps the first quarterback off the board in next year’s draft, Corral is one of the biggest names in this year’s draft class to choose to play in his team’s bowl game instead of opting out.

Hopefully, the injury isn’t serious and Corral will quickly be back to full strength.
